Our Teen and Young Adult socials are a place where everyone belongs. Teens and young adults can be together, be themselves, meet and make social connections in an inclusive, real world setting offering activities that they really enjoy.
Join us for a fun evening at Butler's Orchard where we will enjoy a hayride, bonfire, dinner and s'mores to celebrate the Fall season!
We will go to Butler's Orchard Farm via professional bus transportation. Then, we will gather for a hayride around the farm and return to our bonfire site, where we will enjoy a boxed dinner, s'mores, and socializing.
SPORTS PLUS is a non-profit organization that offers uniquely structured coed sports, swim, social and training programs for participants, able to follow simple directions, with mild to moderate autism and other developmental disabilities.
The program is small and personal. The participants will feel comfortable and we work hard to help them to engage, improve their social skills, and most importantly, have fun! Sports Plus coaches and staff will be present to help and facilitate. Numerous experienced and well trained peer volunteers will also be present to assist and interact with our participants.
Our Bonfire and Hayride Social will be held on Friday, October 28th from 5:45PM - 9:15PM (including the professional bus ride to and from the farm. Bus pick up is 5:45pm sharp and bus drop off at 9:15pm at Lakelands Middle School, 1200 Main Street, Gaithersburg, Md.). Boxed Dinner provided by The Bean Bag - choice of sandwich - Turkey, Veggie, Roast Beef, and Tuna - along with chips, fruit cup and bottled water. THEN, S'Mores!
COVID Information - Sports Plus would like to encourage mask wearing on the bus to and from Butler's Orchard. No mask wearing is required while we are on the farm.
Sports Plus does not provide one on one assistance. If you think your participant will need additional help, please feel free to join us or send someone who can assist. Thank you.

While we need to physically distance during these challenging times, coming together and staying connected and fit is more important than ever. Our remote programs are designed to provide continuously expanding social and learning outlets.
This exercise program is geared toward the whole family. The program comes alive even in a virtual setting. Be ready to sweat and have some fun together! Sports Plus coaches and staff will be present to help, facilitate, and interact with you.

Join Coach Tom in a live exercise class designed to get the whole family moving and keep you fit. The class will feature a mixture of strength and fitness activities. So, clear some space in your living room and get ready to have some fun!
