SPORTS PLUS is a non-profit organization that offers uniquely structured programs for participants ages 5 to 25, who are able to follow simple directions with mild to moderate autism spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD and other developmental disabilities.
The SPORTS PLUS swim program features a blend of traditional and unique skill development techniques, carried out by experienced instructors and their assistants who are backed by special education professionals.
SPORTS PLUS offers one-on-one private lessons. Also upon approval, we offer a one hour swim team for those that are ready for a more endurance based practice.
Our staff is fully capable of accommodating participants with a wide variety of swimming skill levels. Whether the initial goal for your child is comfort and safety in the water, acquiring basic swimming skills, stroke technique and improvement or swim team training, SPORTS PLUS has a class for you! Fun, proper technique, social skills and safety are stressed at all classes.
Each class features customized instruction that is designed to be enjoyable and successful for all participants. Typical siblings are also encouraged to enroll. The end result is a safe, successful, rewarding and exciting physical and social experience for participants and their families.
Please note that the summer swim session is 6 weeks long.
SPORTS PLUS is following the procedures listed below regarding COVID 19. Given that the population that we serve has a higher incidence of immune system issues, we encourage mask wearing on deck. Please note that not all registrations may be accepted. Staffing is the driving factor. We are working very hard to accommodate all families. Thank you for your understanding.
